The Far Forest Scrolls

My dad has had my brothers and I listening to stories and reading for as long as I can remember.  It's really who we are as a family.  He had us start a fantasy book review blog a year or so ago (http://nytfantasybooks.webnode.com/).  Somehow, he became friends with Hunter Ross.  Hunter, a PhD student, had the fabulous luck of unearthing three boxes of ancient scrolls (over 1000 years old).  With the help of Professor RC Novotny they were able to translate the scrolls and restore the illustrations.  The result was a fantasy trilogy known as, The Far Forest Scrolls.

My brothers and I have spent the last several months immersed in the trilogy.  As I near the end of my high school career several things are of great interest.  One of them is language and the origins of words.  This fascination led me down an exciting, but convoluted path, and managed to waste most of the last half of my senior year!!!
Anyway, this blog is the end result of my research.  Of course, Professor Novotny and Hunter Ross were huge inspirations to me.  I hope you this tale I (and all my work) as much as me!!
